Leading Families Home offers emergency shelter and behavioral health services. They have two shelters in Toledo, one on N. Erie and one on Ashland Ave that is currently under renovation. The new location will house 3x as many families as their current shelter. SeaGate Food Bank is collecting PJs (including teen sizes), slippers, blankets, pillowcases, books, stuffed animals, and hygiene items to help local children who don't have bedtime necessities. You can make a monetary donation here or browse their Amazon wishlist here.
susie's coats
Susie's Coats provides children in need with winter gear in Lucas, Wood, Fulton, Hancock, and Sandusky Counties in Ohio as well as Monroe County, Michigan. All children served by the organization receive a new winter coat, hat, and gloves. To date, over 30,000 warm apparel items have been distributed. View donation options here.

This Monroe, MI cause has provided 3,500 beds to children in need. The Sled Race will be held in Downtown Ida on Friday, December 2nd. Help Bed Race to Aid Children reach their $50,000 goal by registering for the lively event or by making a donation here.
findlay hope house
Hope House provides transitional shelter and helps individuals into permanent housing. They also provide case management and rental assistance for people in danger of losing their homes. Hope House is in need of toiletries, cleaning products, and gift cards. Donate and learn more here.

The Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank serves Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Williams, and Wood Counties. 100 million pounds of food has been distributed since 1984. You can help them raise money for Operation Turkey which provides families with a hot, nutritious holiday meal.

Become a sponsor and get matched with a child for the Traditional Christmas "Make a Wish" program. Sponsors are asked to spend $100-150 on brand new items. You can also make a financial contribution or donate "filler gifts" to assist with the last minute needs of children who become involved with Wayne County Children Services close to the holiday.
